About Datacenter Survival
Wire power from the grid to your server racks, keep the hot aisles cool, and ride out brownouts and blackouts in this datacenter strategy game.
Datacenter Survival puts you in charge of the machine hall under the cloud. Racks earn money only while they are powered and cool. Power runs through a chain from the city grid to each rack, and every link has a capacity: overload it and the breaker opens. Every kilowatt a rack draws turns into heat, so you place CRAC units or a chiller plant feeding CRAH heads to keep temperatures down, while trying to keep PUE, the facility's total power divided by IT power, as low as possible. Grid brownouts, outages and droughts test your backup plan of UPS units and fuel-limited generators. When you lose money, badges show which building caused it. Free play can be seeded so friends face the same crises at the same moments, and a 13-level campaign teaches one mechanic at a time.
Datacenter Survival sits in our strategy & td games lineup. Tower defense, conquest and tactics.

How to play Datacenter Survival
Place a Grid Feed, Transformer, UPS, PDU and Rack, wire them in that order with the Wire tool, add cooling, then press Play. Press T to see the heat map.
- Press Power On for free play, or choose Campaign for guided levels. The optional tutorial takes about a minute.
- While the game is paused, build a power chain: Grid Feed, Transformer, UPS, PDU, Rack.
- Use Wire to connect each building to the next one in the chain.
- Add CRAC units near the racks, or a chiller with CRAH heads for larger rooms, then press Play.
- Watch for TOO HOT and AT CAPACITY badges and add cooling or capacity before reputation drops.
Tips for Datacenter Survival
- Build and wire the whole power chain while the game is paused, then press Play.
- Leave headroom on every link: an overloaded transformer or PDU clips every rack behind it, and pushed further its breaker opens.
- Press T often. The thermal overlay shows hot aisles forming before racks start to throttle.
- One busy CRAC is cheaper than two half-idle ones, because every cooling unit draws power even when idle.
